About Sue

Sue has served as the Career Center Assistant since June of 2008.  She handles the scheduling of appointments, recruiters, presentations, and on-campus interviews.  Sue also manages the City Semester application files, credential files, and the Career Center Library.  She assists students with proofreading résumés, cover letters, and other documents.  She is the Career Center's point person for NACElink, presiding over the annual workshop, and devotes time every day to searching for job opportunities to share with students and alumni, both part-time and full-time.

Sue earned her Bachelor of Arts degree here at Hanover, majoring in Communication and minoring in Sociology.  Having lived in a number of places (Lexington, KY; Sidney, OH; Kalamazoo, MI; Waukesha, WI) and having worked in a number of different fields (hospitality, accounting, social services, banking, teaching, non-profits) has given her a unique understanding of finding the "right fit" when you are looking for a career.  She firmly believes that you can't go wrong when you try, as long as you learn something in the end.

Away from campus, Sue spends time with her family (her husband is also a Hanover alum and her both daughters are students here).  She (mostly) enjoys the antics of her 3 dogs.  Sue can often be found cooking and baking in her free time, and is always on the look-out for a new recipe and people to feed.
