About Margaret |
For over 25 years, Margaret directed the Hanover College Career Center before becoming Senior Director of Career and Professional Development at Hanover's integrated Levett Career Center. Skilled in guiding students in self-assessment, Margaret is an MBTI Master Practitioner, and finds assisting students in clarifying their interests to be one of the most rewarding aspects of her wonderful job. She is experienced in coaching students in job seeking skills and strategies, and has written over 10 career-related guides. She enjoys program development, most recently introducing the Career Peer Mentor program and Professional Competency tools. She is a frequent campus presenter about career-related topics and graduate school. A past co-chair of the College Career Center Consortium, Margaret co-sponsors four annual career fairs. She has served as a regional presenter for GRE preparation, and is a member of Career Development Professionals of Indiana. On-campus, Margaret serves on the Health and Biomedical Sciences (HBSP) committee and as a pre-law advisor. Margaret earned her Bachelor of Arts from Wellesley College, her Master's degree from the University of Florida, and is a certified spiritual director. Prior to moving to Hanover, she worked in northern Florida and Phoenix, Arizona. In her free time, Margaret can generally be found outside if the weather permits; she has numerous gardens around her property and cultivates moss. She loves solving puzzles of any type. |
