of our Resume, Cover Letter and Interview Guides, and more!
Career Guidance
Career Center staff are
pleased to offer career guidance to alumni. You may make an appointment
for one-hour on-site session, or a 30-minute telephone session by calling
(812) 866-7127 weekdays between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. In addition to
individual career counseling and self-assessment inventories including
the Myers-Briggs
Type Indicator and the Campbell
Interest and Skill Survey, you will have access to our extensive
Career Resource Library.
Resume Review
Resume styles and conventions
change frequently over time. If you are updating your resume and would
like to have feedback on it, email it as an attachment to Margaret Krantz,
including in the message the job title for which you are applying.
Free Job Listings
The Career Center publishes
a semi-monthly job vacancy newsletter, Career Currents Openings.
If you would like to receive a free subscription, please email your request
to Margaret Krantz (be sure to
include your mailing address).
Job Fairs
Graduates of the most
recent five classes are welcome to attend our job fairs, College
Talent Recruitment Day, held annually at the
RCA Dome and Indiana Convention Center, and Spotlight on Employment,
held at Heritage Hall in Lexington. These exclusive fairs are co-sponsored
by Hanover College and target seniors and recent graduates of liberal
arts colleges in Indiana and Kentucky.
Post Your Own Job Openings
To post current job openings
targeting current student and alumni, you may FAX us at (812) 866-7125,
or use our convenient online form.
We will distribute your opening to all students in Career Currents
Openings.
Credential Files
The Career Center maintains
and mails credential files, including letters of recommendation and resumes.
Alumni are invited to keep current documents in their file, noting that
all letters of recommendation must be typed on letterhead and mailed
directly to the career center from the referee.
